We will begin our trip in Kotor. After a short and relaxing drive along the coast of a beautiful sea, we will arrive at Perast. The moment when you step into this ancient city you'll feel peace and bliss while admiring the colorful landscape. Facing the sea, protected from all sides by big ridges of Kotor and tucked away under the hill of St. Elijah, Perast ensures its place in the hearts of all travelers.

You can begin your journey at the Pjaca central square where you can find the Church of St. Nicholas from the XVI century, with a bell tower as high as 55 meters. Furthermore, you can visit the fortress of St. Cross with its nine defense towers, the church of St. Anne, the church of St. Lady of the Rosary, and the Zmajević diocese. There are many baroque houses and a palace with unique architecture and beauty.

Afterward, we will take a boat to the breathtaking island of Our Lady of the Rocks. According to the legend, it was built in 1452. After the Mortešić brothers found an icon of the Virgin Mary on the bay. It is said that the icon cured the brothers of illness. When the townsfolk saw this, they decided to build a church in memory of this incredible event.

However, seeing as the space for construction was too small, the townsfolk made sure to throw a rock after every visit and eventually, an artificial island was made. This tradition is still nurtured to this day and is celebrated on the 22.  of July when the townsfolk take boats to the island at dusk and throw rocks to expand the island even further.
